Montgomery County Police Will Not Assist Immigration Sweep

 

Montgomery County Police in Maryland will not cooperate with federal agents attempting to arrest migrant families for deportation.

The department's announcement comes after President Donald Trump decided to postpone a planned U.S Immigration and Custom Enforcement raid targeting undocumented immigrants. The nationwide sweep was slated for June 23, but was put on hold for two weeks, according to Trump, so Democrats could come up with an immigration deal.

The City of Gaithersburg Police Department has also announced that their officers will not be involved in the enforcement of immigration laws.

It really isn't complicated, either we are law abiding or we are not. I hate doing 20 MPH in the downtown area especially at 3 in the morning when no one is there (but the cops) but it is the law so I abide by it. 

I hate that my best friend went to prison when he was just 22 for shooting a drug dealer that sold him some bad weed (and look now it is legal) but then it was the law and shooting someone is still against the law but sometimes I wonder why. But we as a community have raised his daughter and after all these years she still misses him but again it is the LAW. All these people that feel so sorry for these law breakers ought to buy a home in Mexico and take them in, it would be cheaper than where they live now and they could buy a much bigger house but no they won't do that because America affords them the convenience of whining.
