After a flight from the capital city we were in a camp with the famous Mongolian Horses. The horses are called semi wild because they are free most of the time, but used and mildly trained to be ridden, when not on their own roaming and grazing. They are smaller than traditional horses and difficult to handle. We were afforded the opportunity to ride them in the beauty of the countryside and so I donned a helmet and took a chance. I felt a little like a 10 year old at overnight camp being led by a guide, but it was beautiful and I am glad I did it, although I don't think I will ever ride again. I was thrown as a kid and was terrified. Here are the horses, the head wrangler and me.
