Fireworks on the National Mall.The celebration in D.C. this year will be different than in years past. The president has plans to speak at the Lincoln Memorial and the fireworks have been relocated to accommodate this change. The fireworks are likely to be spectacular, but be sure to check regularly for revised traffic patterns and restricted areas. City of Fairfax, Virginia will sponsor "A Hometown Celebration" on July 4th beginning at 5:00 pm at the Veterans Amphitheater. There will be an evening show beginning at 6:30 pm at Fairfax High School (3501 Rebel Run).
