Hey Washington! Here’s your weekly list of fun, upcoming events!
Southside rise up! I can't think of a weekend in recent memory when so many exciting activities were scheduled for venues East of the River!
The party starts at noon on Friday at the Hookie DC Festival, which bills itself as a successor to the beloved DC Caribbean Day Parade.
On Saturday morning, get your exercise on at the Inaugural Congress Heights Bike Ride.
If you're not too tired from pedaling, stay to watch the Mystics take on the Connecticut Sun at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.
Finally, the DC Black Theatre & Arts Festival spans the entire weekend, with multiple Theater, Arts, Music and Dance performances shining at The ARC and several Anacostia-based playhouses. See world-famous comedian Michael Colyar like you're never seen him before.
