Very well said my friend and the power of a positive attitude cannot be underestimated!

HI Debe Maxwell, CRS - To me, the glass is always full! Our attitude shapes everything about us.

Yes, it's an interesting study - both the physiology of the human brain and the psychological aspects as well, Carol Williams. I know we can't control the physiological issues with attitude but, we surely can control so much more than we think when it comes to psychological responses, interpretations, etc.
"Mind over matter!" I used to say that to my boys - "YOU can control your own happiness - get over it! Tell yourself it's okay and MOVE-ON!" Yes, I said it because I BELIEVE it!

The quote, "A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can't go anywhere until you change it." is a great analogy. It's funny, but true! If you can't change it, then you'll simply be stuck! It sort of goes inline with Einstein's quote on definition of Insanity.

Absoultey not, Brian England! I remember my coach would say, "Snap out of it!" I took the loss of a game harder than any of the other players on my team - I took it personally; I blamed myself for the loss - not just sometimes, ALL of the time!
I would get into a funk and finally, the coach would very loudly say to me to snap out of it. I HAD to or I would have to run suicides (my least favorite punishment on the court)! It wasn't until I was an adult that his 'snap out of it' could be used any time at all. ![]()

A challenging post this morning, I love it. At the moment I often feel like I am on a roller coaster, but overall I enjoy life, nothing a walk or a bike ride out in nature does not fix. Never sure on a roller coaster what is the best part, the going up slowly with the expectation or the swoosh as you plummet downhill with a sharp turn left or right thrown in for good measure.

Indeed it is, Sheri Sperry - MCNE® and I'm with you on the 'full glass' too! I do find myself always looking for the silver lining and encouraging those with their glasses half-empty to do the same!

Great observation, Mike Bjork! It's good to know you can change your attitude and good to know how to change a flat too! LOL

Oh, I love roller coasters - I definitely like the heart-in-throat downhill thrill of the ride, Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543! However, the life experience analogy of the roller coaster ride is not a fun or thrilling one. You're right though, hiking or cycling does relieve the stress that life throws our way.
Happy Monday Debe, I love it and you are so right, you need to change the flat tire to get going again.

Debe, life is what you make of it, and strong beliefs and will power can be a good thing!

Debe the only thing certain in life is that it will end someday, and we need to take advantage of each and every precious minute we have.

You two are inspiring examples. I believe strongly in the law of attraction - it says that the more you grouse about something, the more of it you'll get. It's far better to focus on what's going right, so you can get more of that.

So true Debe... " Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you can’t change - just reach deep within and do it!

Hi Debe- what an uplifting post! Life throws everyone some lemons...it's inevitable. But those who learn how to make the proverbial lemonade out of lemons are the ones who will thrive. And yes, we can look to you and Ray for inspiration.

Morning Debe.
Goodness knows life has thrown me many curve balls, a few of which I missed catching. The ones I have caught, helped me grow into the person I am today.

Hello Miss Debe Maxwell, CRS I'm living proof of this....glad I turned out on the side I live on!
How can two people (siblings), exposed to the same life experiences and familial upbringing, be so vastly different? Inquiring minds want to know!

Debe Maxwell, CRS - I like the analogy of the bike and the flat tire! You drive home your point cleverly! My Bachelor's degree was in Applied Behavioral Sciences. The knowledge I gained stays with me always and there's always more to learn. But if there's one thing I'm certain, change begins with me and you can't change other people. Only they have the power to change.

I would never imply that it's easy-peasy but, when it's not, dig deeper, right, Rebecca Gaujot, Realtor®? Enjoy your weekend!

Oh, I totally believe in the lemon analogy too, Kathy Streib! As for Ray and me, that is so sweet - thank you! I will say that some days we have to do a little deep-digging too - it's not always as easy as we make it seem.
I'm so with you, James Dray - sometimes it's easy to 'pick up' on the clues but, I think we all miss on occasion!
I have so many friends like that, Anna! I will say, it's living proof that it's NOT all environmental/cultural/physical exposure - it's deep within, I believe.
Have a great weekend, Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, CRS 602-380-4886!
Oh, that is so true, Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - so many people try to change their spouses. It just doesn't work - never has, never will!
Enjoy your weekend!
attitude determines so much of what happens in your life. A family member is going through a tough patch and I pray that there is strength to get through it with grace.
Good morning, Debe.
You're singin' my song. I truly believe all things can work for good. My brother and I were talking about this yesterday, how we've had to make lemonade out of the lemons in both our lives. You and Ray are certainly a testament to Attitude Determines Altitude. Carry on!
