HOME SALES DON'T STOP ON HOLIDAYS
While many businesses close down or take a long weekend when holidays come along real estate keeps going. When I was a real estate agent I sold a home on the 4th of July in the middle of a parade going through the town. As a mortgage broker I make myself available over the weekend, in the evenings and on holidays. I make it clear to my clients that I don't want to be the reason they don't get a bid in on time.
When I've spoken to a potential buyer and have them qualified for a purchase it is easy enough to spend a few minutes on my time to answer questions and provide a letter if needed stating the qualifications for a home purchase. I know a day could make a huge difference in this market. I am seeing homes come on the market and sell within hours of showing up. It is frustrating. So I'll do my part to ease the frustration.
I'll enjoy my holiday and I hope everyone else does as well. I've reached out to my buyers and real estate agents to let them know I'm around if they need something. Home sales don't stop on holidays and most of the agents I work with will be available if needed. I hope everyone gets time to spend with family and friends. Stay safe!
