Thursday, July 4
Middlebury: 3D fireworks will begin Thursday, July 4 at 10:15 p.m. at Quassy Amusement and Waterpark, Route 64. 3D glasses are $1, to benefit Make-A-Wish Connecticut. Parking is $10. The park opens at 11 a.m. A beach party will begin at 8 p.m. with a disc jockey, $10, with children free. 203-578-2913.
Friday, July 5
Torrington: The City of Torrington annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show will be Friday, July 5 at Torrington Middle School. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with the fireworks show beginning at dusk. The event will offer carnival rides, games, face painting, music and food vendors.
Entrance is $10 for vehicles parking at the Torrington Middle School, $5 for cars parking at Bishop Donnelly and adjacent field, $2 for walk-ins. Fees collected will defray the costs of the event. Rain date is Saturday, July 6. For information, call 860-489-2228.
Saturday, July 6
New Milford: Fireworks will be Saturday, July 6 on the Town Green. The event starts at 5 p.m., with the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The rain date is July 26. For information, call 860-355-6000.
Sunday, July 7
Waterbury: The city of Waterbury’s Fourth of July celebration will kick off with food trucks, vendors and music on Sunday, July 7 from 2 to 10 p.m., at the Brass Mill Center on Union Street. Fireworks, shot from Pine Hill, will begin at 9:15 p.m. Carpooling is suggested. The rain date is Sunday, July 14. Admission is free. For information, call 203-597-3444.
