Well, I have been reading all about Twitter.com. So, I made a note to check it out when I got a chance. Finally after days of wanting to get to it I go to check out Twitter only to get a "we'll be back in an hour" notice. So, here I am back at the Rain. My question is ... Does this happen often? I have enough trouble and frustratons trying to work through the Active Rain glitches ... that's not a complaint ... I enjoy AR, but there are some glitches that they are still working out. So, do I give Twitter another chance, next time I get a chance or should I just let the idea "twitter" by and forget about it. Just curious from those who are part of or familiar with Twitter. Your input is appreciated and much Aloha to you all. Happy day.
I would use twitter more if my clients were more tech savvy. Most of my clients are okay with texting and the like, but don't want to worry with twitter so I have never really invested any time in it. Its easy enough to use though, and I haven't experienced any real bugs, so if you have clients that want it then stick with it.
I use Twitter and get timeout messages quite a bit. It is a good service and works most of the time. They just need to increase their capacity. I don't use it for business. For me, it's been a great way to reconnect with friends and keep updated on what's going on with them. - Dennis
I used twitter, as I am trying to bring up my level of reader to my blog, radio show etc etc
I have a Twitter login. I just don't have time to keep up with all the social networking sites. I have decided to concentrate on the tried and true, Active Rain.
Twitter has been sick for about a week or so. I'm new to it, but understand from the vets that it's not typical. It is a neat concept, but just one more time sucker. I do enjoy getting the updates on my blackberry of those people that I follow, but sometimes it's just too much!
I am not sold on twitter yet! I will check back and see what others have to say.
Ray, thank you for your input. Mostly I have no clue what you're talking about because I have not even been able to look at it. First time looker and i got the sign on the door "out to lunch"! I'm sure I'll try again because you make it sound interesting.
Dennis, do you feel it more of a social network like myspace or facebook or is more like Active Rain or Trulia ... if you are familiar?
Gretchen, sometimes it's too much? I'll take it! I could use too much right now.
Joan, I am sure I will check it out again ... at least to take a look. I have not had that chance yet.
I barely have the time to keep up with AR, I am afraid to even look at Twitter.
Randy, I got on and don't like it. It's more like Myspace or facebook. I am just not into that.
Patrick, I like it, but more for its brevity (140 characters or less) and the news feeds I receive. I am still wrapping my arms around its utility for business.
