Of course, there are a multitude of reasons people buy and sell homes. Each summer season, we find that there are a specific pool of buyers and sellers, who are not concerned about the time of year that it is – they are simply ready to move.
The top 3 reasons people buy and sell real estate in the Charlotte Metro region this time of year are:
- To be closer to family and friends
- Downsizing
- Job relocation
As a Charlotte home buyer, I would still strongly encourage you to bear in mind that the school assignments impact resale values. Do your homework when it comes to school rankings.
As a home seller in the Charlotte Metro region, know that your buyer pool may be a little smaller during the summer months, especially August. However, do keep in mind that those buyers who are relocating for jobs are here when their jobs call for them – they are serious buyers, not ‘tire-kickers.’
Spring season brings people out of their homes to shop but, as I said, wind up being tire-kickers. The summer shoppers are very different.
Every season is a time to buy or sell real estate – you simply have different players who are doing so…and for different reasons.
