Friday Photos: Reflections on Beverly Hills Fahion / Rodeo Drive

By

Earlier this week we were perusing the windows on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.  We parked near Chanel, and we were impressed by this take on evening wear influenced by the "street-wear trend" that has taken a hold of luxury fashion.  Chanel recently hired Farrell Williams to advise them on street-wear.

Ralph Lauren avoided the whole trend staying true to his Western Roots.

In red, there were matching shoes for the bag, which reminds me of the Hermes Birkin with Western tooling motifs.

Ralph Lauren is expanding his global restaurant foot print with a coffee bar in Beverly Hills.  He already has one in the Mayfair district of London, as well as several successful restaurants in the US, France and England.

Like Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana remained true to their floral themes.  I liked the pink bag...

And I did not like the floral tiara, nor could imagine myself walking in those shoes.,Just sitting and looking fine would work, while keeping the flip/flops under the chair for walking to powder ones nose.

Happy Friday everyone, Enjoy the weekend!

CAN YOU STATE HOW YOU ARE DIFFERENT AND BETTER THAN YOUR COMPETITION IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS?

ABOUT:  Luxury Real Estate is a high stakes game. Commissions are substantial! We help luxury real estate professionals get to the listing table more often and win listings more frequently.  If you want to be the market leader, the personal or company brand that your target market thinks of first and refers most often, you need an Elevator Statement to accelerate the process.  We can get you there!

Your Elevator Statement is a succinct and persuasive summary of your extraordinary promise of value, your unique selling proposition.  In a time-starved world the attention span of your target market is shrinking.  To instantly convey what sets you apart from the crowd you need to be able to answer EACH ONE of these 3 questions in less than 30 seconds.: 1) What Do You Do?; 2)  How Do You Do It?, and;  3) How Are You Different?.  Can you state how you are different and better than your competition in less than 30 seconds?

Watch the video above to see and hear how we do it.

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel - Anytime we were in the Beverly Hills area, we had to go window shopping down Rodeo drive. No matter what you see, it is always a fun experience.

Sheila Anderson the state of luxury is going through a weird twist, and I have been cogitating on everything that is happening these days in luxure, where it has lost its edge and its glamour to some degree...As soon as I clarify it in my head I will write about it.  A

I think the term "window shopping" fits here. I would not be compelled to go inside the store to shop, except as you mention, for the coffee.

Morning Alexandra.

As you know I'm not much into fashion.  Just give me some jeans and a pull over shirt, I'm good to go.

Michael Jacobs what has become clearer is my wondering who buys this stuff? There was a time when luxury fashion was really beautiful and memomarble.  It remained classic and timeless.  Some fashion houses still adhere to that, but in the race to entice the new generation, they have lost themselves in the madness.  I usually look to France and Italy for their fashion sense as they are ahead of us by a couple of years...and I was mostly disappointed.  Just another pendulum swing!  A

hI Ron and Alexandra- I do love looking at the windows...a bit like viewing art. I'm more of the Ralph Lauren person and while I love seeing florals and prints on others, it's just not me. Back in the Laura Ashley days (remember that), it was all I could do to have one wall done in the print.

Kathy Streib there were two Laura Ashley Stores in Los Angeles, way back when, and she had a nice collection of solid colored dresses and sweaters.  But she was known for the flowers, and I do remember the wallpaper.

Florals have been in for the Italian designers like Gucci , and it is still happening. A

It's so interesting that most of the designers seem 'adapting.' I respect the ones that stay true to their style as I'm not so sure who will be purchasing the street adaptations. Boy, do I love the pink D&G bag too, Alexandra!
