Long Island Home Buyers What To Do When You Find The Home

By
Real Estate Agent with The Top Team @ Charles Rutenberg Realty 255 Executive Dr, Plainview NY 11803

Sometimes, things that we as Realtors® think are so easy, are not to those who aren't in the Real Estate business everyday, and don't know what the next steps are once they find the home they have been looking for.

The other day, a young couple we were working with loved the house we showed them, but were totally in the dark about what the next step should be. They never owned anything before, nor had any of their family members.

Innocently they asked: "What Do We Have To Do Now - Do We Go Back and Tell The Sellers We Want Their House"?

Larry and I smiled and realized they really didn't know what the next step was!

So Have You Found The Home Of Your Dreams? - Now What Do You Do?

Make sure you have communicated to your Agent that this is the one.  Next...

  • Discuss what your offer will be
  • Are there any contingencies (mortgage, home inspection, do you have something to sell?)
  • Go over what down payment you are offering on Contract
  • When can you close and take possession?

May seem easy to those in the business, but it can be confusing and stressful to a home buyer.

RELAX...

If you are buying a home or condo on Long Island, Lawrence "Larry" and Sheila Agranoff will be on your side throughout the transaction!

No need to worry, and ask all the questions you want until you feel comfortable...

Good morning, Sheila and Larry... and that's why I review all the phases of the home buying process with first time buyers before we even  look at any homes... they really often have no clue.
