I recently moved to a five-acre parcel in Tenino WA with a really, really long gravel driveway. I had no idea how I was going to roll the garbage and recycling bins down this monster of a driveway until I did a Google search and discovered others have this same problem!

I found sells hooks and hitches. I didn't want anything permanent and this hook is perfect.

Here's a quick video I did demonstrating how easy it is even for me to hook your bin up and drive it down to the curb!

I just really like this product and wanted to share it with you. This is not an endorsement of any kind - just something that helps with trash day.

LOL     This is a real "problem" for people with long driveways.

I was impressed with the idea.    It might not be perfect, especially when the can is full of heavy stuff.   Those sizes of trash cans are heavy....

I have chosen to leave my trash can at the end of the driveway, just inside the fence where it is screened from the road.

In my case, I  keep mine tied to a fence so that it doesn't blow over or the lid blow off.

Then, whenever we leave, we carry the trash to the can.  Granted, I have a truck so it is not like I am carrying stinky trash inside my car.

If we left our trash can at the road, we would have ten black bears camped there tomorrow morning!
