Summer Fun Contest - Show off your town!
As some of you may already know, I was looking for where to find this month's contests, and am happy to have found this one.
This is an excellent opportunity to promote one's own town and its history, demographics, unique character, affordability, etc.
So to AciveRain-Thank you for the new contest-and the opportunity.
Summer Fun Contest - Show off your town!
Summer time is in full swing! Now is the perfect time to show off your town and it's charm. Think of yourself as being an ambassador that loves to spread good will and also share about what 'to do' in your town for summer fun.
My town, Phoenix, is pretty hot over the summer months so unless there's a pool involved (which over 50% of homes have a pool), outside activities are rare. That doesn't mean there are not plenty of local events and places to visit during the summer. A few of my favorites are the Phoenix Art Museum and the Musical Instrument Museum. And of course the local water parks are always a popular place to hang out during the summer. Some outdoor malls have 'splash pads' that kids flock to while their parents watch over them in the shade and cooling misters! The squeals and giggles are non-stop at the splash pads. I know from experience with our grand kids - never a dull moment at the splash pads!
Summer Fun Contest - Show off your town!
On your mark, get set, show off your towns summer activities! And of course since this is a summer contest you will be rewarded both in fun and points. Here are the rules...yes, there are always rules around the pool in summer!!
- Contest points will be given for up to 3 posts, 300 words each and at least 3 pictures of the summer fun activity in each post.
- You must insert a link to your summer fun posts in ONE comment below. Do not space out your entries in different comments.
- Each post will receive 500 points to be given out some time in August.
- The contest runs from today July 1 to July 31st.
It will be fun to read and see the fun activities your town enjoys during the summer months!
