Good morning!
I'm a young mom, trying to teach my kids from the very beginning.. (One of those things being the alphabet, of course!) And, as a teacher I'm always looking for ways to make it FUN.
So, here are 5 ways you can make alphabet learning fun if you have kids or grandkids :)
1) Aphabet puzzles - You can purchase those big awesome foam floor puzzles for your kid to get active with puzzle learning!
2) Blocks! You can't go wrong with good old fashioned block-building. Buy the kind that have letters printed on the sides of the block and help your child build or create simple word, or just sound out the letters.
3) Finger-paint or foam for the bathtub. Let your child write out letters using fingers on the sides and walls of the bathtub. You could also do this on the windows. Bonus: Your bathtub and windows will be clean after!
4) Electronics. There are some great alphabet and letter learning apps, such as Homer, Reading Eggs, or you can check out my ABC mouse Review here on mythreereaders.com.
5) Reading books, of course! Read to your kids and grandkids. Gradually, they will connect letters to words, words to paragraphs, and paragraphs to stories. You can never go wrong spending time reading with your loved ones.
Enjoy teaching our little ones!
Amy
