Maui Sunsets
I always enjoy taking time to appreciate our sunsets in Carlsbad.
And of course I enjoy those relaxing few moments when traveling, too, perhaps even more so since I have that down-time.
This was a particularly beautiful sunset at Ka'anapali Beach, north of Lahaina, where we stayed last October. I'm looking forward to another sunset or two (or more) there in the near future!

Maui is such a beautiful place and the sunrises and sunsets are amazing there! I just finished reading Carol's post and she mentions a cruise to Hawaii, I am really longing to go back to Hawaii now, haha.

Hi Jeff - sunsets like sunrises each offer a unique experience. Never happening exactly as any previous one. Here's to enjoying many more of each. In Carlsbad, Maui and elsewhere. Yes, location does make a difference.

Great images! Because the sun sets in that area, it is so wonderful to enjoy it during an outdoor dinner or from your balcony. I hope you get to go there again very soon. I have time booked for next year.
Thanks June Piper-Brandon They are a favorite of mine to photograph, and I always enjoy them when I take the time. Some, of course, are far better than others.

Hi James Dray - some sunsets are better than others, and depending on the location.
Kat Palmiotti - my favorite sunsets are over the water. Certainly Maui, and Kauai are great places to enjoy them. I've seen some here in Carlsbad that rival them I think!

We used to enjoy the sunrises over the ocean back east Grant Schneider but I can't say I recall anything like these.
