Break Bread, Not The Bank At
Charlotte's Queen's Feast Restaurant Week
It's Back This Friday!
Charlotte's super popular, semi-annual, mouth-watering Restaurant Week returns this Friday, July 19th, and once again it's time to enjoy a true Queen's Feast! You'll be able to dine like the proverbial royal queen, herself, for 10 days at over 135 Charlotte metro area restaurants in nine surrounding counties at a very reasonable fixed price of $30-35 for three courses. This semi-annual event in Charlotte is now in its 19th "season" and very much anticipated by the "locals." (Myself included!)
The very first Charlotte Restaurant Week took place in July 2008 with just 42 restaurants participating. What began as an event only in Mecklenburg County has since expanded to include Union, Cabarrus, Rowan, Iredell, Lincoln, Gaston, Catawba and York Counties. Back in 2008 Restaurant Weeks were not common. The Queen City (Charlotte) was one of the first to sponsor such an event. Charlotte's Restaurant Week has now grown to more than 135 participating restaurants attracting local Charlotteans, as well as people from outside the area. And what differentiates Charlotte's Restaurant Week is that it is a privately run venture and not one sponsored by the a city's tourism board the way many restaurant weeks around the country are.
Previous Charlotte Restaurant Weeks served some 125,000 dinners and generated almost $6 million in revenue for the participating restaurants. Queen's Feast is it a great way to enjoy great food at a reasonable cost. It's also a great way to explore new restaurants and cuisines throughout the Charlotte metro area. So go ahead! "Break Bread, Not The Bank!" You'll be glad you did!
This summer, first-time Queen's Feast participants include 44 Mills Kitchen + Tap in Concord; Bar Marcel in SouthPark; Brewers at 4001 Yancey in Lower South End; Civetta Italian Kitchen in Stonecrest; The Dunavant in South End (I recommend highly); forchetta in Uptown, and Napa at Kingsley in Fort Mill.

In Charlotte, we like to say that "Charlotte's Got A Lot" and our Restaurant Week proves this is really so! Queen's Feast is so popular in the Charlotte region it won the 2018 Voter's Choice Charlotte Magazine BOB (Best of the Best) Award For Best Food Event! Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy this dining extravaganza without the extravagant prices!
