What a Difference a Few Days Can Make!

Real Estate Agent with GreatWest Realty DRE# 00827565

I woke restless this morning!  Saturdays are traditionally the day I visit my local Farmer's Market.  And, the event usually resets my weekly inner clock!  However, before leaving I thought I should check my own little garden which has been slower to mature this year, likely due to an elongated winter.  What I found was quite amazing.  The multiple green tomatoes of a week ago had ripened.  And, the squash plants with only blooms a few days ago, had matured enough to harvest!  To the pickings of this morning, I added in a little Mint, Sage and Purslane also found in my landscape.

It made my trip to the Farmer's Market, almost futile.  However, I did pick up a great loaf of Sour Dough Walnut Bread produced by Sacramento Baking Company.

It truly is amazing how quickly veggies can be ready for harvest. You got quite a bowl full.

That looks delicious! I tended my neighbor's vegetable garden last year for a week or so and couldn't believe how fast the veggies ripened.

Hello Myrl - the gifts from your garden are truly bountiful and your trip to the Farmer's Market led you to find the ideal "finishing accessory".

Hi Myrl:

That's pretty impressive bounty from your garden. It's such a pleasure to grow  some of what we eat, isn't it. Artisanal bread is one of my weaknesses!!

Our garden has been slow this year too. We are finally getting some yeild, but the tomotoes look to be at least a month aways.

Your plate of veggies looks delightful.  Yum.
