Saturday's Shots on a Sunday Morning

I remember wishing that I had chosen a different colored hyrdrangea after this Snowball Hydrangea was first planted. Now, this enormous, bloomning beauty is a bright corner in our yard - day AND night.  This shot was taken in our backyard last night and I never got around to posting it...

Snowball Hydrangeas in Charlotte

The Snowball Hydrangea is a hearty, fast-growing species that required absolutely NO special care or treatment. You don't even have to cut the blooms off when they die. Such a rewarding plant in the Charlotte region, for the little effort this beauty requires.

Happy Sunday!

Hearty AND 'hardy,' Michael Jacobs! I love how long their blooms stay also - it's always nice when you've waited in anticipation for the blooms and you get to enjoy them for a long while.

Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!
