Good morning!
It's not too late to read with your kids this summer. And if ya'll are lazing around the pool, audiobooks are always a great way to go. I recently did a post on my blog to answer "how does audible work", and found some real gems that I wanted to share today, in case you are looking for something to read or do to get out of the heat.
(Oh - and by the way, not just for kids!)
1) The Roald Dahl Collection - You can get the entire collection for one single credit on Audible (SCORE!). These quirky tales are a ton of fun. You remember - James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, plus a few more you may not have read yet!
2) Ramona Quimby Collection - A series of books by Beverly Cleary all about a sweet and funny girl. I may have been reading these in the 80's, but my kids still love them and thing they are hilarious!
3) The Harry Potter Collection - Need I say more? It may be worth a try to hear these read aloud, to enjoy the books from a different angle.
4) The Adventure Collection - Including Treasure Island, The Jungle Book, Gulliver's Travels, White Fang, The Merry Adventures of Robin, you get a TON for a single Audible credit, plus a little classic action.
5) Charlotte's Web - Every child should read this classic. Worth your free monthly Audible credit!
I hope these give you some ideas for kids to be reading this summer. Enjoy!
Amy
