Saturday Smiles: Abbondanza at the Santa Barbara Farmers Market!

Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

The bounty of summer was evident.  As we walked around, we saw the glory of summer's bounty.  Corn was piled high, (yes, higher than an elephant's eye).

Look at this array of cherry style tomatoes.  Of course, next to the first box are some lipstick sweet peppers named for their shape.

Tutti Fruiti our favorite tomato grower's yield was huge too.  We are in love with the green variety.  They are very sweet.  One of the restaurants we visit gives credit to the Tutti tomatoes on the menu.

Perfectly sweet peaches have arrived from Tenerelli farms.  Their owners and workers are delightful to talk to.  We make a point to buy from them.

Washed three times spinach is a treat to those of us who are short on time.

Blenheim apricots have a short season of two months at most.  They are delightfully sweet and a perfect portion for one bite.

And there were flowers in every row...lots of flowers everywhere we looked.

Wishing you an abundance of Saturday smiles....Abbondanza!

Hi Alexandra... I'm not a big fruit eater (more of a vegetable girl), but I could easily be tempted by those apricots.... that is one fruit I love.

Wow... love all those fresh fruits and veggies!  How is the flavor of the tomatoes? I have a hard time finding tomatoes with any flavor in the stores.

Abbondanza indeed!

My mother, definitely NOT Italian, often uses this word to describe her favorite part of farmers markets.

Do love the assortment of tomatoes in your post. Cherry tomatoes are a favorite. Love corn on the cob too. I just bought some fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, cherries and peaches at a local orchard close to my campground. You have such an amazing farmer's market.

Morning again Alexandra.

Our local farmer's market opened late last month.  You can sure tell a difference in the texture and taste, than those that are grown in a hothouse.
