Potential Lead from Active Rain

A few minutes ago I received this "potential lead from Active Rain" Do you think I responded to "Julia?"

It seems we have another spate of spam on the site. It comes in waves--dies down a bit, then starts all over again.

Good morning, Lottie. This is one I haven't seen. I will say that I rarely get this kind of spam from Active Rain. But they do seem to find me through other sources.

That is a new one, I have had one from a member who wanted to give us leads, and same member wanted to ask us a question.  The profile was rather weird, and we used our delete button.  It almost get as much use as the "e" on my key board. A

I haven't received that one but have gotten other spam "Potential Leads". That is weird they are using my Second Chance Saturday post as a link.

Carol Williams - I think spammers often go to the featured posts.

Yes, Roy Kelley - I'll delete the spam, but first I "reported" it; years ago I was told that was the best policy--the back-end at AR would block the spammer's address.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - I report it first (AR back end used to block the email address; hope they still do) then I delete it.

Nina Hollander - I don't get much spam here;  the grammar and spelling on this one is "unique" to say the least.

Hello Lottie - this particular "lead" is new-to-me but certainly falls into the all-too-familiar "delete" category.   Thanks for letting us know.

Michael Jacobs - apparently I wasn't the only one who received this particular spam. "Report" and "Delete" makes short shrift of it.

Stuff like this is out of control, I never even read 99% of it.  Also, why can't ActiveRain fix their messaging system?  Why do we have to get "Potential Lead from ActiveRain" in the subject line?  Why can't we at least enter a subject line so that it doesn't appear to be spam hitting our inbox?

Well, on the scale of troubles, this one is small stuff Brian England - the grammar and spelling (or lack thereof) of this particular scam was so poor it's hard to imagine anyone falling for it.

Hello Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - I don't get much spam here. When I do I report it and it's gone. 

Debe Maxwell, CRS - Sheila Anderson also got this spam notice; I guess a handful did before it was blocked. Oh well, on the list of problems, this is way at the bottom.
