How to Keep Ice Cream Soft in the Freezer?

By
Real Estate Agent with Highlight Realty

Is it really working? I'm definitely gonna try....

A suggested way to prevent ice cream from getting too cold and hard to scoop is to place the whole container in a freezer bag and press out the air before sealing it and placing it in the freezer. Supposedly the bag keeps the air around the ice cream from getting too cold, resulting in easily scoopable ice cream.

I might try that... I just put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it softens up very nicely.

Hmm.  The chocolate ice cream in my freezer is too hard to scoop. The vanilla is ok.  I'll give this a try.

Nina, I agree that microwave works fine for small containers! Just wanna try if ziplock works for big containers (half gallon). Now I use hot spoon to scoop.

Lorrie, I notice that too... Vanilla is the easiest one!

So... I'll try... If it's not working - will be back to old ''hot spoon' trick.

Will, I love ice cream, isn’t it obvious? Hahahaha

A couple days ago late at night I read Andrea Bedard's post about Ice Cream cafe... what next? Of course... immediate trip to my freezer! Usually I use hot spoon but I was such in a hurry!!!

Next day I did what I always do:

See the problem GOOGLE the problem!
