The Versatility of Tile Nowadays

In recent months I have been watching the evolution of flooring.  I have been amazed at tile that so closely resembles wood.

Personally,

I dislike the "tile made to look like wood" look. I prefer real wood or real tile.

There are really good tiles with designs today that are very appealing to homeowners. I've been fooled once when I visited a friend's house and complimented the flooring, only to be told that it was tile. 

Steffy, I did not realize there were so many new looks to tile.  Not sure if I like some of the new options, but there are probably others who do.  Thanks for the info.

Hello Steffy - the versatility of tile certainly makes it a popular choice and some of the latest introductions are quite creative.  "I can't believe it's really tile".

Hello Steffy,  I know in certain parts of the country tile is in but i also know older people want the warm carpet feel.

I need to check the tiles out more as I may be making some changes in my house.

Steffy Hristova - I think it's great that consumers have more choices. Understanding the pros and cons as you illustrated is an education. You made some excellent points and provided lots of food for thought for consumers too!

Isn't it amazing how far the tile industry has changed for the better?
