Are you setting yourself up for a heart attack?

Elizabethtown, KY - It is said that more heart attacks occur on Sunday evening than any other day, simply because people are dreading going back to work on Monday morning.
I truly hope that is not the case with you,
I have come to realize just how much I thoroughly love what I do. Working in QuickBooks puts me in my zone. Helping a client on a rep case brings me great satisfaction. Doing church compliance and seminars energizes me and gives me great joy.
There are times when I get a little over-whelmed with my to-do list. And that's why organization is vital to the success of my business and my peace of mind.
I take a few moments on Sunday afternoons to plan my schedule for the upcoming week. I prioritize the to-do list on the right side of the page and put my daily appointments on the left. I also have a Rocket Book (EVERYBODY needs one of these!) that I keep on the left side of my binder for reminders, new to-do's that won't fit on the current list, along with a list of all projects in progress and where I'm at with them.
As you can see, I am definitely an old-school paper person. I have tried the online project tracking/to-do programs, and I still go back to my paper and pen. The important thing here is to find a system that works for you, and take the time to make a plan for the upcoming week. Inevitably things will mess with your plan, but starting with no plan just brings more chaos, missed deadlines, forgotten projects, and therefore, more stress.

We owe it to ourselves, our business, and our clients to do our best to be as prepared as possible for the upcoming week. I hope this has given you a little bit of encouragement to get organized if that's something you struggle with.
