Do you have any debt? This is something most Americans have and will always have.
Sometimes LIFE circumstances occur and you have no choice but to take out loans or use credit cards to get things paid.
Like unexpected medical bills for example. That’s why I never like to judge anyone for their financial situation because you never know someone’s story.
BUT…for those who are in debt because of their own choices (like I once was) I want to stress that there is a way out.
I just read this article on How to Get Out of Debt and was encouraged to put my thoughts here because this is something so many of us deal with.
And the way the author put it is that the only way to get out of debt is to want it bad enough.
We do what we want to do and if you want to get out of debt bad enough, you can.
I attribute getting out of debt to 3 simple things:
- Spend less than you earn
- Cut unnecessary expenses
- Increase your income
If you can do that then you can find ways to easily cut away at your debt, but again…it’s all in how bad you want it.
With the advancements of technology, you can find online jobs from home to make extra money.
There’s really no excuse for not being able to make extra money nowadays. You can find out how to make money online easily.
I also think the pressures of this life can cause us to want to spend more than we can afford and appear to be something we’re not. And to be honest, people don’t really care.
So if you want to wear the latest trends because you want to impress people, please think of another way and save your money. They may think it’s nice that you get to wear those things but at the end of the day, they don’t really care.
Well, that’s just my two cents.
Do you think there is more to getting out of debt than what I listed above?
