Morning Glory surviving the summer heat

This Morning Glory got my attention

Because of the hot weather, I am behind on weeding the back garden.  I was just wondering what had happened to the  Morning Glory when I stumbled upon this striking color among some weeds.

This beautiful bloom certainly brightened my day and I have to admit, the weeds did make a nice frame.
