When we lived in Los Angeles, we had an owl pair that lived in our 15 foot tall pittosporum tree. We loved hearing them hoot at night fall. In Napa, we had white owls that would show up and sit on the tall gate posts.We appreciated that they kept the vermin at bay.
These days, we spot them in the Salt Marsh Reserves behind our homes. They are regal looking birds, and I felt this sculpture captured the look and knowledge!
Wishing you all a great weekend.
A wise old owl sat on an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard;
Why aren’t we like that wise old bird? – Nursery rhyme
