Sheila Anderson It took a while, but I have now come to a place where I can be grateful for the short while we had Murphy in our lives. I can now remember with joy for those wonderful memories.
You'll get there too - then you'll still miss him, but it will be easier.

Michelle Carr Crowe,Altas Just Call...408-252-8900! We can do so much with a small gesture that costs us nothing - that's pretty amazing.
You have it, Sheila Anderson - I know what you're going through.

HI Marte- We all walk around with the poor pitiful me's (was I supposed to put an apostrophe there?) at times but when I started heading in that direction I remind myself of all that I have, not material things but the people in my life, what I've experienced, my health, etc.
Marte,
Thank you for sharing this, I just shared it with a beloved family member.
Good morning, Marte... this poem brought tears to my eyes. Most of us have very little to "cry about." And it was a great reminder of that.
Kathy Streib Yes, we can be grateful for all of that - and the material things as well. We need only think of the homeless to be thankful for a warm bed, hot water in the shower, and food in the pantry.
Sally K. & David L. Hanson So true - and so easy to give.
Nina Hollander That's right - most of us have little to cry about and much to smile about. We just need to stop and adjust our focus now and then.

Oh, that's so powerful, Marte! I'm so glad you shared this as it really does make you stop and think of all that we have to be thankful for.
Good morning Marte Cliff - I am sorry I missed this the first time around. The words in the poem as so powerful. I am so thankful!
Debe Maxwell, CRS - Yes, there is always much to be thankful for.
Grant Schneider I spend a little time thinking about that every day.
Hi Marte:
What a wonderful poem, and a powerful message about being kind, and grateful for what we have.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff Dowler, CRS - Yes, it is a wonderful poem - so I'm grateful for the friend who sent it to me!
Good afternoon Marte Cliff ,
I'm so glad that Carol Williams featured your post in her Second Chance Saturday. We take so many things for gratitude..we do need to take more time in the day to really feel gratitude and realized how blessed we are.
Thanks Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR - I agree that we take too many things for granted. Sometimes I start my morning with giving thanks for my shower - it leads to a long list when I think about how many people and how much effort took place in order for me to turn that knob and get hot water. Think of all the people in this world - in this country - who don't have that small luxury.
Hi Marte Cliff it's so easy to be kind in such simple ways to everyone in our world day to day. I feel incredibly appreciative of the life I'm living - truly blessed!
What a beautiful poem. Being grateful for what we do have is the key to being happy.
I believe that, Kat Palmiotti. We cannot be happy with more if we don't appreciate what we have right now. And... if we aren't grateful for what we have, the universe will not likely bring us more.
