One Massive Guide
Recently I put together a close to 4,000 words guide on Property Asset Progression specifically for the real estate market in Singapore on my website.
It is a guide that I have been meaning to write for some time because property investment is a big thing here in Singapore. Singapore as a global city also attracts a fair bit of interest from foreign buyers. Almost 1 in 5 properties transacted here is sold to a foreigner.
James Dyson made news recently for purchasing a US$53m penthouse in the city and a US$32.5m house near the Botanic Garden (UNESCO World Heritage Site) in quick succession.
Word on the street this week is that Eduardo Saverin (Facebook co-founder) has just bought a bungalow for US$166.5m at the Nassim area.
It was indeed a great challenge as I have never written such a long guide before! The guide took me about 4 days to complete but I had great fun sourcing for the appropriate images, the transaction data, the charts and organising my thoughts for the guide.
The process of organising my thoughts allowed me to revisit the past cases that I have handled and the interactions that I had with people from diverse backgrounds during my real estate journey.
It was a good time for recollection.
Delivering Financial Freedom
In this line, we all know that real estate investments done right can truly deliver financial freedom. But very often, people who can actually benefit from it are not able to do it because they lack the knowledge, do not make the effort to learn or are misguided by the people around them (property agents included!).
I have heard so many misconceptions and regrets over the years that I decided to dedicate two sections to them in my guide. I am hopeful that the 9 myths and 8 common real estate regrets will push the reader into doing the right thing.
It is my wish that my guide will trigger more people to leverage real estate investments correctly and wisely.
Have you ever put together a guide?
How many words did it have? :)
