It's International Cat Day Today, August 8th!
International Cat Day.... if you're a cat lover (like me), it's a great day to celebrate "all things feline!" The day is also known as World Cat Day. International Cat Day was created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
Cats are one of humanity's oldest and most beloved pets and today are thought to be the most popular pet on the planet. As Terry Pratchett said, "in ancient times cats were worshipped as gods and they have not forgotten this." It's believed there are more than 200 cat breeds.
