I mean I knew it would be hard, so this is not a huge surprise. I tried it 2 1/2 year ago and gave up.
This time, the opportunity fell into my lap unexpectedly and I had a friend selling her blog.
I knew there was no way I could handle it myself, so I paired up with a friend. (she also has her own blog). It has made many things easier. But, it's still soooo hard to keep up w/ everything.
My main flooring site is what brings in most of my income, so I need to focus on my bread and butter. Earlier this week, I published another epic article. This one is on Kitchen hardware trends. In July, I wrote about best paint colors for gray floors. This seems to baffle people for some reason.
I've been so busy that I've only been publishing 1 article on my main site per month!
And, yet I got almost nearly 600,000 pageviews in July.
I've been working on other projects like a mini ebook on Google Analytics. It's just $9 (and it's over 60 pages) and I actually made over $800 on it last month. I've also been working on email, welcome sequences and tripwires. I also finally got my SEO books on Teachable which enables me to now sell them in the EU. They take care of all the VAT and 1099s and stuff, so I don't have to worry about that annoying stuff.
I'm hoping to work on an SEO course soon and maybe publish by end Sept mid October. The journey never ends, but thankfully it's going in the right direction, and so is my income.
On the 2nd blog, I'm able to write about blogging stuff. One of my artcles that's doing well is How I earn $7,000/month Amazon. Many bloggers are surprised by this as the commissions are low. But, it's really all about SEO and a volume game.
I have so many topics I want to write about on the new blog. I just need the extra time...and I guess a lot patience. We're only making around $300-$400/month now. I of course want to rapidly accelerate that. But I need to be patient and focus on my main blog which generates almost all my income now.
