You know, you sure can't James Dray - and I'm with you - if only! That's why we write, teach, preach, rinse & repeat! 

Well, you know that I couldn't agree more, Anita Clark! We have a lot of inventory to add before we can even begin to THINK recessionary terms. It just makes no sense how these talking heads come up with their sensationalistic conclusions! 

It is and as I was saying to Anita, just based on the calculations we have in our slowest of markets here, it would take a SOLID 5 years even to come to a neutral market. How on earth do some come to the recessionary conclusion? It just makes no mathematical sense to me, Michael Jacobs! OH and it should to anyone else either - they just don't take the time to do the math...or they prefer scaring John Q; I'm not sure which it is!

In or physically 'ON,' right, Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR?!  You can't debate the facts but, somehow the talking heads have found a way to convince the public that a recession is on the horizon! It doesn't compute to me and if the public would do the math, it wouldn't to them either!

Absolutely, Matthew Klinowski, PA! Funny but, when I hear from anyone how their investments are down, I always retort with, "Oh, I'm sure you're not talking about your real estate investments!" LOL 

Hey, if we only educte one person a day, we're doing that one person a huge favor, right, Matthew?!

You know, I see my husband worry over stock investments - that just doesn't happen with real estate, Wayne Martin! There you go - another solid reason to focus on real estate investments - less stress! 😉 

At this point, it surely is, isn't it, Ron Barnes? I'm ever so thankful we're beyond that. We've certainly had nearly a decade of a vastly improving market...again, another reason to be thankful!

People and stocks, Richie Alan Naggar! Every now and then my hubby and I will reminisce about some of the stocks that we once owned and wonder, what on earth we were thinking! LOL

As I always remind my hubby - we're not selling soon - we're in this for the long-haul. By the time we're ready sell, we'll be in the black and beyond!

Just to quinch my thirst for data, John, did you build (was your home new construction)? That seems to be the largest segment here that first found themselves in a hole (at the beginning of the recession) and it took them the longest to come out of it too.

I agree wholeheartedly, Kimo! My husband has more hesitation about real estate than I do - for some reason, the non-tangible stock market appeals to him more! LOL 

Our plan is and has always been to buy and hold. As you said, the return is almost ALWAYS higher with RE than stocks, Kimo Jarrett. 

I always tell my agents, we ALL represent real estate investors - even when you live in your investment, it's an investment! LOL
