As summer 2019 comes to an end soon, there are still many fun, educational, or worthwhile things to do in and around Flower Mound.
First, I'd like to mention August 23-25 is the second annual TPCA Fallen Officer Fundraiser at Local Pint, 2750 Churchill Drive, Suite 170 in Flower Mound. Supporting silent auction and the raffle will be greatly appreciated. Plus, it will help our fallen officer families too knowing they didn't die in vain. In my opinion, this is very important. As a widow, many people do not remember the family that remains or they just don't know what to do. Honoring the family that lives while remembering the dead makes a difference and helps them to heal.
The annual Highland Village Lions Balloon Festival will take place August 16-18 at 2200 Briarhill Boulevard. Admission is FREE. There will be food and craft vendors and kid activities too. Let your imagination soar! Come! Have fun!
August 11- Chefs in the Fast Lane at Texas Motor Speedway from 3 to 6 p.m., located at 3545 Lone Star Circle, Fort Worth. Proceeds benefit Speedway Children's Charities and Tarrant Area Food Bank. To learn more, go to their website Speedwaycharities.org. Texas is one of 8 Chapters. Other Chapters include:
