Have you ever been to the Malibu Lagoon? This is a great gem of a park for observing various wildlife, local surfers, to paint or just relax. The Malibu Lagoon is where the Malibu creek meets the Pacific ocean, pretty cool! This park is also home to the famous Malibu Pier, Adamson House, Surfrider Beach and the Malibu Lagoon Museum, all within walking distance of each other.
Be aware, the beach state park does charge a fee for parking. To avoid that fee, its recommended to park near the Malibu Public Library on "Civic Center Way." The image above illsutrates the street I'm referring to. From there, its a very short enjoyable walk to the Lagoon. It would also be wise to park early, at least by 8am.
If your doing a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway, be sure to make a stop off at the Malibu Lagoon!
