Carlsbad Art Beach Chair Unveiled
Carlsbad Village - August 11, 2019
Carlsbad has added yet another piece of public art to a growing collection of art in the public eye in the Village.
2 artsy things happened yesterday – the 21st Annual Art in the Village was held at Grand Avenue and State Street, featuring 110 local and regional artists, AND the new Carlsbad Art Beach Chair was installed and unveiled by the fountain.
The Carlsbad Art Beach Chair was designed and constructed by Michael Stutz, a local artist, and painted by artist Ron Juncal. It’s huge, brightly colored, and an intriguing take on the classic Adirondack chairs.

Have a sit if you get into the Village – there’s room for several people and it’s a terrific photo opportunity!!
Art in the Village was great fun, with a huge diversity of artists and works of art. Since we were there in the later afternoon parking was actually pretty easy, and it was no longer crowded. And while we enjoyed seeing all this beautiful art, as we always do, we were good and did not add to our art collection that has already burst its seams! But it WAS tempting.
