2 AZ Universities Ranked In Top 100 Universities Worldwide!
How many of the top 100 universities worldwide would you find in Arizona? Well we don't have just one but two Arizona universities that made it to the "100 Best Universities in the World Today."
University of Arizona and Arizona State University ranked Nos. 62 and 80 respectively in the list from TheBestSchools.org, a resource site on colleges, universities and their programs.
With a focus "on academic prestige, scholarly excellence, and sheer intellectual horsepower," the list included UA in its ranking for being one of only 56 public research-intensive universities and and one of the 62-member Association of American Universities. It has 12 libraries and offers a wide range of degree programs with courses "leading to 334 different bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees. It also offers students 100 study abroad programs in 50 different countries."
On the other hand, ASU made it through the rankings not only for its top-tier faculty but also with for its investment and focus on research. It also takes price in its impressive group of fellows and members of the various national academies which has added 156 award recipients. This esteemed company now includes four Nobel laureates, six Pulitzer Prize winners, 25 Guggenheim Fellows, 114 Fulbright American Scholars, 11 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and 65 fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
