I was thinking about how agents around me conduct themselves when pursuing Real Estate. Interestingly, some agents are immersed in a culture of money from day one. hey even shout, Show me the Money! It seems that they are blind to anything not directly related to earning a buck. I do understand competition and the need to profit from ones vocation.
On the other side, I have spoken to agents about their businesses and have asked them if they making money. The answer is always, well of course, I sold X homes last year! Unfortunately, many of these agents have no clue if they actually PROFITED from their sales. They have not quite figured out the business side yet.
I believe the best agents are the ones that operate their business as a business, but have the time and empathy to communicate well with people. They have empathy for those that are in need of our services, and manage to do all this and still make a good living.
If an agent takes good care of their clients and their business, they should be around for a long time.
