Throwback Thursday: The Bargello Museum In Florence!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

We visited the Museo Nationale di Bargello in Florence for the purpose of seeing Michelangelo marble statue of Bacchus*.  Our attention was diverted to this bronze sculpture in the inner courtyard of "Boy with Fish, (Il Pescatore)" (pictured above).  It was so lifelike that we could feel the boy's delight. This is the work of Vincenzo Gemilo circa 1877.

We will share the Bacchus statue and the story behind it in the next post.

CAN YOU STATE HOW YOU ARE DIFFERENT AND BETTER THAN YOUR COMPETITION IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS?

ABOUT:  Luxury Real Estate is a high stakes game. Commissions are substantial! We help luxury real estate professionals get to the listing table more often and win listings more frequently.  If you want to be the market leader, the personal or company brand that your target market thinks of first and refers most often, you need an Elevator Statement to accelerate the process.  We can get you there!

Your Elevator Statement is a succinct and persuasive summary of your extraordinary promise of value, your unique selling proposition.  In a time-starved world the attention span of your target market is shrinking.  To instantly convey what sets you apart from the crowd you need to be able to answer EACH ONE of these 3 questions in less than 30 seconds.: 1) What Do You Do?; 2)  How Do You Do It?, and;  3) How Are You Different?.  Can you state how you are different and better than your competition in less than 30 seconds?

Watch the video above to see and hear how we do it.

Artists certainly couldn't get away with works like this in today's world, everyone is so sensitive and things have to be kept politically correct, which I think has ruined too many good things in the world.

Both beautiful works of art, Alexandra. One of the first I ever saw that made a huge impact on me was the Pieta at the NY World's Fair in the early 1960's. Never forgot that experience.

Nina Hollander Ron and I saw the Pieta on our honeymoon at St Peter's Cathedral before some idiot smashed part of it, which was repaired and then they had a heavy glass screen in front of it, which lessened the effect of this beautiful piece.  The Academia in Florence has the unfinished Pieta, which is also breathtaking.  Ron took some video of the various works there, and is planning to put it all together at some point in time.  A

Brian England There is more PC folly as somebody was touting "genderless colors", and gender fluidity.  I do think this is inhibiting creativity in art, and many have complained. A

HI Alexandra... when I saw the Pieta in Rome it was behind the screen... very sad. And you're right... not the same impact.
