We had a marvelous anniversary celebration in Florence in May of this year. Florence remains one of our favorite European cities. When we ordered one dessert of profiteroles (pictured above, a specialty in this restaurant), the waiter treated us with two glasses of their best prosecco.
Both prosecco and profiteroles were delicious! And the portion was perfect!

I can relate to your friend... I have Christmas china for 18; I have Thanksgiving china, too!
