Not Today.......

There will be wonderful days in my future but not today. There will be lovely people who help me in ways big and small but not today. There will be cool and productive days in my garden, but not today. There will be days when I sell a lot of old treasures I have collected to people who value them, but not today. There will be days when I welcome a new dog into my home but not today.

Today the weather is very hot and humid with a feel like temperature in the 105-110 range. Today I am already spent at 8AM and I am not pushing my luck. Today is a tax free weekend in Massachusetts but I'm not going shopping. Today I am grateful for air-conditioning, local dogs and food in the frig. 

Not today.

I have family coming home for the weekend.  I'm cooking up a storm once again.  It's not even noon yet, but I've got a lot accomplished.  Changed the bed linens, done laundry, gone grocery shopping, made an Eggplant parmesan, a pie, and put a couple London Broils to marinate.  It will get really crazy around 4:00 pm when everyone arrives. . . I'm contented in Sacramento!
