The power of interstate networking

Today at our weekly networking session, in Rancho Cucamonga, CA our breakfast sponsor was a Realtor from New Braunfels, Texas.   Talk about properties a little out of the area. He went on to explain about the tract he was selling and the opportunity for us to make money in the Lone Star State. He was very upfront about his desire to network with out of state Real Estate Pro's. He then told us about the success of one the regular attendee's our group. At this group as well as the one I host on Thursday's we stress the importance and relevance of networking and supporting each other. what I found interesting and amazing was that this Realtor who had flown in from Texas was not a part of ActiveRain. He did say he had heard of it and promised he would get involved.  I was able to give him the contact info of an Active Rain Realtor in Texas who wanted to know more about his product. That is one thing I do not do enough of.  I usually figure - what are the odds of someone out of state having a buyer for my area so I haven't put much time into that sort of networking.
