Ahhh, nothing like a truth-to- established-wisdom slap of reality on a Monday morning!
My Greek uncle had a saying: "Seeing and Doing".
There was always something to these aphorisms. His take, who knows, may have been a quote from an ancient Greek philosopher, not sure.
But the general idea was that we need to observe the details of any particular situation, study the various paths that will lead to the intended goal, and then actually take the steps necessary to reach a particular outcome.
Those steps normally include education and training.
We tend to forget that anything in life worth pursuing requires effort.
And sustained effort is even more important.
Effort is made after knowledge is gained.
So one must LEARN what needs to be understood before tackling anything in life: love, business, well being, etc.
Skill is a result of learning and proper application.
Skill: "the ability to do something well; expertise."
Skill is honed into expertise. It takes effort.
Nothing gets accomplished in a wish world...
So...
1. Observe
2. Prepare
3. Execute
4. Adjust and reapply
“Felix had gone to live in a lotus land of his imagination. Where what is desired is dreamed of as already happened, where obstacles dissolve under the weight of desire, and where reality has vanished entirely.”
