National Be An Angel Day is August 22. Have You Spread Your Wings Lately?
Have you ever wished or hoped that there was an angel standing by you when 
you were in need of help or feeling down?
In some form or fashion, I believe that angels do exist but perhaps not how we envision them...floating in the air with outspread wings.
I think there are angels within us, or at least the ability to be angel-like.

Short story...many years ago when I found out we were moving to Florida I was devastated. This was the first time I was going to be living so far away from my family.
I was greeted with sad comments about how much I’d be missed from all those I told. It was also accompanied by their sharing thoughts of having to leave Houston and all my friends. Every comment was bringing me down.
I was in a deep funk until one day I walked into my office. A friend who’d been out of town had not yet heard the news of my move. When I told her, this is what she said…
Kathy, I’m so excited for you! What an exciting adventure you’ll be on!!! And...I’ve always wanted to live in Florida.
Those few words were all it took. My attitude changed immediately. That day, she was the Angel I needed.
Remember how you felt when someone told you how much you mean to them, or when a stranger smiled and let you go before them in a line.
Being an angel rarely costs you money or even time unless you want it to. And the rewards to you and to your recipient cannot be measured.
A smile that says hello...a pat on the back that says everything will be ok...a wink to say I feel your pain...Angel activities!
Spread your wings and be an angel to someone, not just this day but every day.
