Hello Nina - the word "Sale" can conjure many emotions.  I prefer "value".  For me it's more tangible.  Although as someone who spent many years in the retail industry, I understand the value of sales promotion.

Michael Jacobs hi Michael... I've always said that any fool can pay full price... it's finding something you really want or need at a deep discount that is so satisfying. Maybe it's a New York City thing.... where top designers would sell samples at deep discount from their showrooms.

Norma J. Elkins hi Norma... when I first moved to Charlotte I missed all the designer showrooms in NYC that opened to the public at deep discounts. You wouldn't always find something in your size but it worth a look-see just in case you did.

I am sure these events are a delight for those who have a black belt in shopping! Given our present lifestyle, neither one of us needs much.  We have our formal clothes, business clothes when needed...otherwise we are casual and chic in our minds.  LOL A

Sheila Anderson these days, I buy "replacement"  or duplicate clothes for items I wear a lot... and then dresses for family weddings... hate to think that people might be saying "oh there she is in her "wedding" dress again!
