It's Saturday so.....

Don't STOP! It's easy to kick back at the weekend, and I am a huge proponent of that fact. I have three kids and beautiful wife and endless hours of sunshine to deal with, but I will not miss an opportunity and I always try to work just a little bit on my business. There is always a loose end to deal with, an email to write, a task that has been put on the back burner that you could easily deal with now it's the weeked and the phones are quiet. What about that new strategy you wanted to implement. Bet you could at least get the early planning done before the famly demands breakfast? I am not crazy, not a workaholic and I want time out as much as the next person. There is just something about the weekend that lends itself to an hour of bitting and bobbing in your biz.

Make it a deal that you use an hour Saturday and one on Sunday to ready yourself for the week ahead, because, if you are anything like me, come Monday you will not have any time to plan as you are off and running. Saturday moring is an excellent time to BLOG incidentally. It's a quieter day, other folk in your house may stay in bed for a while, even the pets seem a little more laid back. Get both the coffee and your thinking cap on! One more reason to work a little on your business this and any other weekend for a while is the fact that SCHOOL"S OUT! You may have to spend extra time getting the kids where they need to be for the next 11-12 weeks. Make it a new deal, unless you are already on this page, to get up and at 'em on the wekend, even if just for a short time. It will work wonders for you. Right, gotta run,I just have a couple of tours to build, two or three scripts to voice and a story to write, have fun!

Chris,

You are right, there is no time like the weekend to get organized.  I too like to enjoy my weekends with my family, so I get up a couple hours before everyone else and knock it out so I don't take any time away from them.

Take care!

You are on the right track.  I get up early each day and spend an hour or so planning, answering emails, just doing the things that require a little quiet time and don't seem to get done in the hustle bustle of M-F.

You're so right.  I can't tell you how many emails I've replied to and blogs I've written very early in the morning - weekend or weekday.   Also great to plan out my day.  It is so nice when all is quiet and before the next our needs to be shot to spend some time taking care of those details!

Regretfully the weekend is the best time to get clients to allow us to do our work and since our family normally rest during the weekend it make s it difficult to enjoy family life. Therefore Sunday's afternoons are for my family and also every now and then I could use a night out with thefamily.
