My Passion AND Fun Was "The Kill"...

I just read a very well written post by Leanne Smith titled “When Fun Leaves Time To Find New Fun” and for me, it triggered thoughts from my past days of actively working in the business.

When you think about the fun you have now while actively working, is it an effort to pinpoint “YOUR FUN?” It really should not be an effort. That answer should roll off your tongue!

Not everyone has a passion for what they do for a livelihood. That’s sad, but it’s true. Mine rolled off my tongue, and I must say, I miss it.

I was always a listing agent, and as I became well-versed with that phase of our business, I called it “the kill.” My passion was to close the homeowner, either before or after other agents visited. It did not matter to me. I priced them properly and moved on to marketing them.

Those were the “good old days!”  Just sayin….

Visit Leanne’s blog, and leave your comment there.

Maybe it will trigger a new found awareness of what YOU truly love about the real estate business.

Hi BarbaraT- When I used to place office support staff my "kill" was getting the businesses as my clients. That's what made me want to keep doing what I did.

The thing I have always loved about real estate is the feeling of adventure that it provided.  No two clients are alike, no two houses are the same.  I have always enjoyed working to get the best outcome for my clients.

George Souto I loved going to work every -single-day.... there was one year I had a 72 ot subdivision and a "hard ass" builder who expected me there on site every single weekend for open houses and thursdays and fridays.....  I never took one day off that year.... not one.... and sold the entire subdivision myself...no other agent could close it....it was a new concept at the time (affordable housing for 25% of it)...A Local Initiatie Program....

you have to love it to not take a day off....
