CREAMY CHICKEN.. THAT JUST FALLS APART AND MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH

By
Real Estate Agent with Johnson Real Estate, Inc. RES.0761759

For most parents, we are up at the crack of dawn and out the door. Between running around with children, and working, there is never a dull moment.  But this should not prevent you from having a great dinner... this was given to me from a friend years ago.  I hope you enjoy.

Thank goodness for crockpots.

2 Pounds Boneless Chicken Breast (4 individual breasts); you can even use frozen right out of the freezer.  It will take a little longer to cook.

valerie osterhoudt

1 Small Onion Chopped (Optional)

10oz Package of Frozen Peas

1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup

1 Cup Sour Cream

Cornstarch

Rinse chicken and place in bottom of Crockpot. Spread chopped onion over chicken (optional). Empty package of peas over onions.  Next, empty can of Cream of Chicken Soup and spread over chicken mixture.  Fill up soup can with water and pour over chicken.

Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.

Remove chicken; stir in sour cream and cornstarch (enough to desired thickness).

Serve over rice or egg noodles.

I will try to make it this week.  I might tweak it a little bit (my family is not too keen on peas)...  I'll let you know how they like it!  :)

Hi, Valerie!  I just wanted to give you an update on your chicken recipe.  We tried it today and my family really liked it!  We'll definitely use it again.  Thanks for the recipe!  :)

Yes, without peas.  We had it with corn, instead.  :)

Debi.. That's a good idea.. I think I'll try it with corn next time.  Both my sons like corn over peas... any day.

Heather.. I've been making this recipe for years.  Sometimes I add, a ¼ cup white cooking wine to the recipe (when it is not being made for children)

That sounds great, I love adding wine occasionally to what I am making-gives it a little more flavor..

Heather, I usually add wine except when I am making it for my sons... don't think it is a good idea yet for them to have it since they are under the age of 12.  I hope you like this when you try it.

Wendy.. It is very easy to make.. as a matter of fact, I am making tonight for dinner.  I have to work all day, and it will be ready to eat when I get home.

Richard, If you give it a try tomorrow, I'd like to hear back on what you thought of it.  If you are making it for adults only, you could add a little dry white wine to the recipe... it tastes better that way.
