The Great Race downtown Johnson City TN This past weekend a group of friends and Realtors from RE/MAX Checkmate put on the second annual Great Race in downtown Johnson City. The Great Race is a spin-off on the Amazing Race that we are all familiar with on TV. It is a race around the world on the Amazing Race, but in our little corner of the world, it was a race around downtown Johnson City solving puzzles and doing fun tasks. We had 9 teams running this race with 4 people per team. We started at 10am in a downtown parking lot and had teams running to 12 different stops. The great bonus, all the money raised went to Children's Miracle Network. We had such an amazing time putting on this race. Months went into the planning and implementing of all the clues, tasks, and local downtown businesses that became involved. A lot of goodwill and Joy. Thank you to all the local companies that helped us out.
