One of my favorite pastimes is learning new things. Here are three events that changed history occurring on August 30, courtesy of Wikipedia.
1945 – Hong Kong is liberated from Japan by British Armed Forces.
At 32, Marshall founded and became the executive director of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. As the head of the Legal Defense Fund, he argued many civil rights cases before the Supreme Court.
Thurgood Marshall's most famous case he won as a lawyer was Brown v. Board of Education of Toperks, 347 U.S. 483 (1954), the case in which the Supreme Court ruled that "separate but equal" public education, did not apply to public education because it could never be truly equal.
