Once a person hits 60, retirement comes into play, and it becomes a constant thought. In the real estate business, I think there are many options available to make life easy and have a steady stream of income.
If an agent is a listing agent, that agent is capable of having a consistent flow of income, until the agent calls it quits! If I had not selected marketing but continued to list property, I would have referred all buyers to young energetic agents who were not focused on listing property.
I’d make sure the listings I secured were priced properly and sold quickly. No marketing would be needed, but I would market after the fact, just to secure more listings.
Listing property is the less strenuous segment of the real estate business. It eventually becomes a referral business. Happy clients referring your future clients to you. This is a livelihood that could continue until you can’t find you way to the client’s home!!! Well, maybe a little before that!
